Opioids in the Workforce
- Forum held on November 1, 2018
Join us on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Colonnade Hotel for a forum entitled, “Opioids in the Workforce.”
One million people in this country are not working due to opioid use disorder while 55 percent of people with an opioid addiction are employed. Both factors have a negative impact on the workforce and the workplace and cause lost productivity and increased health care costs. This forum will provide analysis on how the opioid epidemic affects employers, employees, and dependents and examine solutions that will lead to prevention and appropriate treatment.
This work is funded through a grant from RIZE Massachusetts. The issue brief is being produced in collaboration with the NIDA funded Brandeis/Harvard Center to Improve System Performance of Substance Use Disorder Treatment and the Opioid Policy Research Collaborative (OPRC).
A continental breakfast will be served during registration between 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. We hope you will be able to join us. Seating is limited so please register as soon as possible.
